Tool Palette View
The Tool Palette is a graphical interface that allows you to quickly visualize data variables. The Palette contains options for visualizing plot, image, surface, contour, map, and volume data. Simply drag a variable from the Variables view to create a default visualization.

By default, the Tool Palette view is included only in the Visualize perspective. To add the Tool Palette view to the IDL perspective:
- Select Window → Show View → Other.
- Select IDL → Tool Palette.
The Show View dialog displays.

Toolbar
The toolbar of the Tool Palette view contains the following buttons:

Toggles the view to display the actions for each tool. When open, clicking on a tool displays the corresponding actions for that tool. |
