Configuring Printers

When using IDL, there are two classes of things you might want to print:

While these sources are fundamentally different, the methods used to specify and configure a print device are the same. The process of configuring printers for use by IDL is described in the following topics:

To print the contents of a text window in the IDL Workbench, select the window and then select File → Print or click the Print button on the toolbar.

You can use the Print button on the Console view's own toolbar, or the Console view's context menu, to print the contents of the Console.
